I ordered a phone with 4 handsets, but was sent a phone with 2 handsets. I called Ace Hardware and they said they don’t have one with 4 handsets (apparently, they never did), and asked me to keep the phone with 2 handsets with a discount. This sounds really sleezy to me. I told them I did not want the item they sent and to have it picked up. They said it could only be picked-up if I was there to sign. I work during the day, so I would not be there to sign. They dropped it on my porch without a signature, so it did not make any sense that they would not pick it up without a signature. They then told me to take it to one of their stores – why should I be inconvienced by their mistake (was it really a mistake, or were they just trying to lessen their stock of phones with two handsets?)? After a number of phone calls, I told them it was on my porch and to come and get it. I also told them I would call my credit card issuer to have the charged reversed. Within two days it was picked-up and my credit card was credited. I will NEVER deal with Ace Hardware again, either thru Amazon or directely, and warn anyone who is considering any dealing with them.

Seller is not honest, shipped wrong item and did not want to ship the right item for price that was paid. Will not buy with this seller again.

I had to send if back because it did not contain 4 handsets, but one. It took multiple calls to customer service as they wanted to give me a $5 credit and call it even. I stuck to my guns and insisted on full refund which I eventually got. What a hassle.
